I voted! Despite reports of record turnout and extremely long lines, it took us about ten minutes, from walking to the polling place from our house, to signing the ledger, to filling out the ballots. Rob did get scolded for talking to me while we were voting, but all in all it went very smoothly.On my way out, I ran into my former roommate Ben, who is working for Americorps and volunteering for the DFL. I haven't seen him in years, and this was only our second civil conversation since I moved out years ago. SO BIZARRE.
Anyways, now we're home, watching the last of this excruciatingly long campaign season's ads and debating whether to institute a new presidential election tradition of ordering pizza. It is such a relief that it's almost over!

Democracy did thank me. At 9:15 our time when John Stewart and Stephen Colbert announced that there wouldn't be a crusty old dude who is so out of touch with reality and his dangerously ignorant and possibly retarded bimbette would not be the next leaders of our nation!
FYI: Virginia, Florida, and Colorado all went blue - which makes me not want to kill myself for helping campaign for the devil in those states!

A new tradition of pizza on election night was born, but sadly Lindsay vetoed bacon and jalapenos.
